Searching for “companies”
Fast search:
To achieve a suitable search result, please enter both search fields “Who/What?” and “Where?” and click “Find”.
In the field “Who/What?” you can search by the name, type of business or product which describe the business, e.g. Müller, cabinet maker, mobile.
This field also contains input suggestions, which offer suitable categories during entry. The entry of a few letters is sufficient.
If you do not get a suitable result, check spelling, try different search term combinations or select the detail search option.
Detail search:
If you know relatively well what you are searching for, and you want to avoid a long and extensive hit list, select the detail search.
Searching the surrounding area:
You are searching for a company, product or type of business at a specific location (e.g. in your area)? Here you can use the surrounding area search to broaden your search from the centre outwards in a specific radius.
Searching for “Persons”
Enter into the search mask a first name and surname, and then start the search.
Searching the “Telephone book”
To achieve a suitable search result, please enter both search fields “Who/What?” (name, search word or phone no.) and “Where? (place, post code or pre-fix) and click on “Find”. If you already know the pre-fix and phone number of an entry, you can access the remaining data, such as name and address belonging to the phone number, by using a reverse search. For some phone numbers this search method does not yield a result, even though the respective entry in the business directory exists, because their owner has not released the number for this form of reverse search.
Searching for “Events”
To achieve a search result, please use the search field “What?” and “Where?”. You can also search for event type and/or date.
Searching for “Jobs”
To achieve a search result, please use the search field “What?” (e.g. Marketing, IT) and “Where?” (Berlin, 10119). The filter function displayed in the search list enables you to narrow down the search result further.
Search “News”
To achieve a suitable search result, please enter both search fields “Who/What” and “Where?” and click “Find”. Under this heading you find information, which the user has entered into the profile in the category “News” as well as imported news from other sources.
Web search
Here you can use Google to search for information.
Try the search with a product offered by the company and limit the search to a place or post code.
Enter as many, if necessary abbreviated search terms such as names, place names, street, post code etc. Should you not receive any hits, you can widen your search by leaving out some search terms.
Perhaps your search of companies failed to find a known address? Please check your search criteria and start a new search with wider criteria. Small changes such as a new key word or the size of the search area can improve the results. You can enlarge the search radius by including a city or post code in the search field and determine a distance in km for the search radius. If you are unsure of the spelling of a company name, enter the address only.
You received a very long list or vague results? Reduce the list by suitable sorting of the search results or start a new search with more precise criteria.
Practically any address stored in our data bank should be found in a search using suitable search criteria. Should you be unable to find a known provider, you can check phonebook entries to see if the provider is listed privately and not as a business. Should you know the phone number, you can try the reverse search from name to number.
Of course, it is quite possible that the company is in fact not listed in our database. We cannot vouch for completeness.
The system includes a phonetic search function. This means names and search targets are found that may sound similar but are spelt differently.
Yes, by entering terms in sequence, you will achieve hits of all the searched words. We recommend limiting the number of terms.
